When I was editing these photos to share this recipe with you, I wanted to stop and make this guacamole again! Out of all the dips and salsas that are in the world, I think guacamole has won my heart forever. It’s not only so good, and delicious, but it’s also very beneficial for your health! Avocados are very healthy for you and have tons of monounsaturated fatty acids, similar to olive oil. When you make this recipe, you’re going to ditch other ones you may have! I know, and I am confident. This is like eating a little piece of heaven with chips! And, who doesn’t like the sound of that? I do.
By the way, when I finished making this deliciousness, there was just me, no hubby around. For a moment, I thought I could get away with eating most of it. However, in a matter of minutes – like he was able to read my mind – he arrived home, and of course we finished the guacamole together. I know you will be tempted to eat this just by yourself, but we have to share. Don’t be naughty! Though I won’t judge you, If you decide to do it 🙂
Are you ready! Let’s go ahead and get started
The ingredients for this recipe are very simple! I truly encourage you to use lime and red onions. Instead of lemon and yellow, or white onions. Other than that, the quantities will be down below in the the recipe box.
First, mashe your avocado. You could use a fork, but why? Just use a potato masher and it will be done in a heartbeat. Don’t over mash your avocados, you still want some texture and little chunks.
Add tomato, onion, cilantro, lime and salt! So I know you are going to want to dig in your guacamole now, but this is a moment where you need to control yourself and wait for about 5 minutes till all the flavors and salt mingle with each other. This is must! So, go to your happy place and imagine yourself in a beautiful island, with sun… and all things you might want, but don’t even touch it, for the next five minutes!
Note: I like to remove the seeds of the tomatoes because I don’t like that texture in my guacamole, feel free to omit this. I wouldn’t, but I just wanted to let you know! :O
Ask yourself. Did I wait 5 minutes before I start eating? If your answer is yes! Congratulations, you have more will power than I have – I sneaked some chips with guac before the 5 minutes – and now you get to enjoy the best guacamole in the world, for real!
