Why I SPY?

“I Spy” activities are a fun way to build important early learning skills while keeping kids engaged.

As children search for each object, they practice visual discrimination, attention to detail, counting, concentration, and problem-solving. They also strengthen vocabulary as they name and talk about the different ocean animals and objects they find.

These worksheets work well for independent play, classroom centers, homeschool lessons, rainy days, summer activities, or as a quiet activity while traveling.

To keep everything organized, this activity set is broken into easy, medium, and hard sections, each with its own heading. A solution page is included in the PDF file so kids can check their answers or get help when needed.

Each section below includes a recommended age range, but every child is different. Feel free to let your child choose the puzzle they want to try. My 5-year-old picked the medium puzzle and used a pen to connect each matching picture as he counted. It was such a simple idea, and one I hadn’t even thought of!
